Our team comprises experts from diverse backgrounds, including food security, environmental conservation, education and business - all dedicated to promoting local food, community resilience and sustainability.
DR ERICA REEVE | Chair
Erica is a global nutrition and food security consultant and researcher at Deakin University. Erica has over 20 years of experience in supporting implementation of nutrition and food security initiatives, particularly in low resource-settings. She has worked with governments all around the world to support nutrition interventions, and is at heart a passionate food and nutrition educator, grower and eater.
JAMES McLENNAN | Co-Founder & Director
James lives and breathes environmental conservation, preservation and regeneration. Combined with his passion for and extensive experience in the sustainability sector, he has enjoyed a fruitful history of partnering with schools on education programs. He has worked in various educational roles, designing and delivering a wide array of sustainability education programs to a diverse audience.
BEN SHAW | Co-Founder & Director
Ben is a permaculturist, with extensive experience in designing and establishing permaculture gardens. He is passionate about creating connections and resilience in communities and growing food in the urban environment. He has established a permaculture design and consultancy business, assisting the local community and organisations to implement regenerative change.
ANDREW WILSON | Treasurer
Andrew is the founder of Horizon Business Plans, helping environmentally conscious businesses to access the support and funding they need to amplify their positive impact. His expertise lies in business planning, market research and financial modelling.
JILL KOREVAAR | Secretary
Jill is a passionate education and sustainability specialist. She has over 25 years experience working in a wide range of education settings, school leadership, curriculum writing and sustainability consultancy.

Matt is the co-owner of one of the state’s best fish’n’chippers, Fish by Moonlite and is the new executive chef at Merivale’s Lorne Hotel.
